Correct Tire pressure?
Correct Tire pressure?
I am a little confuse!
Different tire shops tell me different thing about the correct tire pressure for tracking.
1. 30psi all round so that contact surface is maximized. Monitor pressure during tracking session, release pressure as tire get heated during track session.
2. 38psi front, 34psi rear. No need to release air during track session. Higher pressure in the tire means the pressure is more stable when tire is heated up.
Can experts here provide some advise? Thank you.

Yikes! By the time you get to normal operating temperature/pressure, your tires will be around 45-50 psi! While it is true that the tire will be more stable when heated up, starting at a cold pressure of 38/34 f/r will result in a high NOP. This is VERY DANGEROUS. The turn-in response will be very good but the ultimate grip will be low and the car will be very skiddish and unforgiving.
