Hi guys,

I'm trying to find out if there are any CV Axle upgrades available on the market. I tried contacting DSS but to no response now. I busted mine and need replacement. Dealer is asking over $1200CDN just for the part and one side only. Please help.

 

How did you break an axle!?

nope, during a regular service inspection, there was grease all over the axle and the boot was cut. A clicking noise could be heard with a full turn to the right. because car is modded, dealer will not even bring the car into the service bay to see it. so im not sure how it got busted.

the boot has been replaced, but im just preparing myself for the inevitable.

has no one upgraded their CV axles as of yet? Anyone vendor can chime in?

 

Any possible indication of why the boot was cut? Just speculating...but could it have been cut during your suspension install? I noticed that this was a potential issue when installing my springs....just a thought.
