Yokohama problems

I've had 2 problems with the OEM tires, Yokoham Advan A13C. First when I put the winter tire, the 2 front tires were worn incorectly, the inside was about 5/32 and the offside 7/32. The car was around 5600mi/9000km only.

Second, we also discover that the front tire each had a crack inside.

Mitsubishi claim that they don't pay because the diagnostic were not by a mitsu dealer (I bought winter tire elsewhere and they were close that saturday so I made the car realign to not were the winter tire incorrectly. The they told me that in the PDI the realign it only when the car drive improporly on the test drive! That may be the cause it were driving perfectly.

Yokohama claim after inspecting the tire that they were expose to 10c or below temp!!! I live in Canada for God sake but I had the May 30 and the tire was expose to that temp since I had the. My garage is having problem to deal with the client service of Yokohama.

Somelse had those problems?

Let say that I will never buy again Any Yokohama products of my life.

Yes, about 99% of all Evos, ever since the 8 came out in North America in 2003.

Your first stop after driving the car of the lot should be the Alignment shop. That is how it is. Can't comment on your other issue.

Good luck trying to get new tires from the dealer. If they like you they will do some thing for you. If they dont, your out of luck. Just go out and buy new tires. A misaliement should be a warrante issue, but if they deny your claim on an alienment issue, you cant really do anything.

It might be an uphill battle to get your tires replaced under warranty as there are so many factors involved from both sides. If tires aren't made for lower temperature they may wear unevenly, haven't heard about them cracking open though. It is true that the alignment from the factory can be off slightly and that coupled with certain driving habbits can really accelerate your tire wear.

I still have four of my stock Yokohama tires with 60% live left in the garage dismounted after I installed winter tires on my stock wheels. I'm trying to decide what to do with them, one local person may use them in a year or so but now they are taking up storage space.
