Wheel gouging!!!

Last friday I had my new rims mounted and balanced at a local shop which has an expert staff and state of the art equipment ensures a damage-free installation every time (taken from their site), damage my rims (brand new)! I cleaned the car today and noticed they put sharpie marker on all the spots they nicked, I was quite livid! I'm waiting for a call back, what would you guys suggest? Any comments would be highly helpful! Thanks

Have them either repair them or replace them. They have insurance for this sort of thing... same as if they dropped your car off the lift (yes its happened).

These rims were brand new and they for one know that, I have a receipt stating I bought them two days before they installed them. I will post pics soon, they will take care of this or I will report it to our locals news, posts flyers, whatever it takes!

Talk to the manager. It would help to find out which tech worked on your car- if that does not get you anywhere get the name and number for the regional manager. Sometimes the store manager can be messed up and doing you wrong, so find the guy he has to report to- if he doesnt remedy the situation you go higher up and talk to corporate. Stick to your guns and don't take no for an answer. Jeez, filling in the scuffs with a marker?!! Make sure to point out how tacky that is, and that its bad enough they wont admit they damaged it but it makes it worse they tried to cover it up. GL

Yeah them covering it up and hoping I wouldn't find it was what set me on fire, they called back and said they will cover the rims if it's on them, (which it is)!!! I haven't even drove a 100 miles since the install, not to mention they nicked 3 out of 4 rims in the same spot! And a magic marker out of all things, thanks guys!

I ran into the same situation with my EVO IX, got brand new Work VS-XX wheels, took it to discount tire and they put huge gouges from the outter lip going inward on all 4 wheels. My buddy that picked them up for me didn't notice until he got back to work, only 3 blocks away.

We went back and talked with the Mgr, and Reg Mgr but no luck, they put up a huge fight, denying everything. That's why, they get no business from me again along with many other local people.

They're messing with the wrong person if they deny my claim, I will ruin whatever name they have by going to my local news, posting flyers and even going so far to slander them in online communities and so forth! They might push it off on someone else but I will not stand for this! I'm currently fighting Mitsubishi's ohio rep over my rocker molding (aero kit) which keeps falling off, a battle which I will also win!

Marker? That's unbelievable. I hope you get what they owe you. I'd totally lose it, just don't burn the shop down because you'll never get your money. Ha. Seriously, good luck man.
