Camber question
Camber question
Need some help here. Installed my Eibach's on Friday and took it to get aligned right away. I told them to put everything back at the stock setting. The shop said that the camber on the front right was at -1.8 and that they couldn't get it any closer, but the left front they got all the way -0.8.
They suggested either a camber plate or to wait a week or so for the springs to settle and then the camber might correct itself. Does that sound right?
Also, after lowering, are the stock settings still okay?

Did you read the forum sticky on this?
What's happened is that the top bolt that holds the strut to the hub/knuckle are in opposite directions on each side of the car.
There is a dot of paint on the bolt head. If it points away from the strut, then that will be roughly -2 (or in your case -1.8) camber. If it's toward the strut body, then it's -1 (or -.8 in your case).
Fix that and you'll be good to go.

I read the sticky and figured that was a likely scenario but wasn't positive if it was the same thing. I have to remove the wheel to check that right?
Just checked it with a flashlight (actually didn't even need to raise the car) and you were right, the red dot on my FR bolt is facing outward and the FL bolt is facing inward. Still hard to believe that little red dot can create a full degree of camber, but I'll get that fixed today. Thanks again.
the bolt has a lobe on it and the slot in the strut is,well, a slot, not a round hole. That's why it adds camber.
You'll need realigned since changing the camber will change the toe.
