Low Tire Pressure Warning?

So I just randomly got a Low Tire Pressure Warning on my 2008 Evo MR (yellow warning info). The car has less then 2500 miles on it, and all the tires seem to be inflated properly (though I haven't actually checked with a pressure gauge). Anyone have this randomly pop up? Thinking it might be a sensor glitch?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I think I found the problem

If you can look at the tires and tell what pressure they are at accurate to a few PSI, then you should know the answer to your question. The pressure is low.

its that sensitive? it will tell you if one tire is off just by a few PSI? The tires themselves have less then 2500 miles on them, and I haven't done any hard driving since buying the vehicle? What would create this issue all of the sudden? I would understand if I hade like 12k on them (the tires) and haven't had them rotated or balanced since buying them, but less the 2500...kinda of odd.

I might add these are the original rims and tires that come with the MR.

Check the pressure.

Why make a simple process harder than it is. Like people have mentioned...check the tire pressure.

Who knows...you might have a slight puncture that's letting out air. TPMS is doing it's job.

i know psi fluctuates with weather, the temp dropped about 20 degrees and I got the same message, on my way to work but it went away when I got to work after the tires warmed up

I had a completely flat tire once, put on the spare and the TPS light didn't come on until 15 miles of driving.. Couldn't believe it.

I noticed the TPMS is really sensitive on my car. I parked it for the winter, and my tires probably lost about 5-7 psi, when I brought it back out and the light came on.

My warning sensor tripped recently, my cold tire pressure was at 25 psi with a nail in the sidewall

The light will go on if any of the tires are down 25% of normal air pressure.

Good luck trying to eyeball low tire pressure in a low profile tire.... chances are if you can notice it with your eyes and have been driving on it, its already damaged and needs to be replaced.

as others have said, you could have a nail or puncture somewhere that is leaking air.

Check your air pressure!
