$555 hawk pads with installation
I was getting sick of noise problems coming from my pads even though they would have lasted alot longer.
I ordered some ET500's (I think that is what they are called) from MAP and they are awesome. No noise, hardly any dust- after about two weeks you can start seeing some dust. They cost me $190ish total for front and rear and finished the job in about an hour.

you really should find out what the brakes service inlcudes first.
if its pads only, then its really expensive like everyone else said.
but if it includes pads and rotors for all 4 corners. then i think it's a pretty fair price

Actually, to replace the pads, you'll need to remove the calipers anyway, changing out the rotors is just a matter of pulling out the old ones and slipping in the new ones. The cost is still not justified.
That is not entirely true. It depends on how mechanically inclined you are. Here's a writeup I did when I did mine. Good luck.

Probably being someone who has driven the X more than most people, I can share my experience that the OEM rotors lasted me right around 36,000 before they developed runout. They were turned by O'Reillys (for free -- one of their guys broke their lathe starting to turn rotor #2 "too aggressively").
The benefit is that the car stops as smooth now as it did when new. I'm on my second set of pads, Stoptech street performance F and Axxis ULT R (with adapter plate).
Just to have some "just in case" rotors, I picked up a set of F and R Winhere rotors for $200 (shipped). I'll let ya all know how they track later this year when I match the new rotors up with a set of Hawk DTC-60s.
*** oops, the thread! The Hawk DTC 60s', F + R, cost me $400. New rotors, $200. Labor, free.
Don't forget to flush your brake fluids!!
