Offset of of 38 is going to look weird, assuming it even clears the brakes.

After an ultra fast lol-google, according to Wheeldude, the Grids at +38 wouldn't fit the X:

The 18x9.5 +38 model will not fit the Evo X. The Rota Grid has a ton of concave and will require a lower offset to clear the front Brembo calipers. We make this model in 18x9.5 +20 fitment specifically for the Evo X

Now, these ain't Grids, but the same answer might apply.

your best bet is to use spacers or send them back and get the right offset

Looks like you might need some spacers for those. I might be wrong though.

But other than that, they look real nice.

Yeah offset is too high. Look and see if they have something closer to 20ish.

Its not the calliper you should be worried about in this case. With a higher positive offset, You are basically reducing the gap beween the strut and the wheel. So you might see issues on that front. For an 18X9.5, +20-28 offset is ideal. You can just get a 10-15mm spacer and call it a day. You should be fine. And not to mention, there's the whole sweep radius blah blah blah side to this whole wheel size argument, please don't make me explain. You'll find tonnes of info online about this.

Did you get a killer deal on the +38's or what? You'll certainly improve your odds by going with a 245 tire but why buy wider wheels to run stock tire size? Among those options I would have done +22.

If you use a 10mm spacer then you could run 265's and you come out pretty much flush with the wheel well (I have +28).

It'll work. I'd run the spacer. You can always get wider tires next time.
