One of my pins broke, cracked right through, when I removed it to swap the pads. I've never heard of this happening before but, sure enough...

Does anyone know whether the Evo IX rear calipers use the same size guide/ retaining pin(s) to hold the brake pads? The replacements are a little easier to find.

Anyone have a good source for these pins? The dealer can order them but they don't seem readily stocked.

 

OK, a source of these pins is the "clip and pin kit" is your friendly dealer for $49.95 and includes 4 pins and two clips. Buy one of these if you go to the track. If you lose a pin you'll be stuck and, I suspect, unhappy.
