are you looking at the Enkei NT03+M? if so, the 18x9.5 +27 will not clear unless you put a spacer up front

the 18x10.5 +30 will fit without spacers for the X

Much depends on what wheel he is using, some clear the front brakes others do not. 18x9.5 (+27) should be pretty safe as far as clearance to the inner suspension and outer wheel well edges front and rear.

18x10.5 (+30) might be trouble on the inward clearance to the suspension on the fronts so verify based on this chart that it will work:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ent-chart.html

Basically it shows that there is 13mm inward clearance to the stock suspension, coilovers may allow ~5mm extra space, maybe more depending on camber. A +30 offset on 10.5" wide wheel will move inward around +17mm so it might hit without spacers. Going with a +20 offset would be safer for a 10.5" wide wheel and you would need to roll the fenders in the rear a bit to avoid hitting the tires.

thats why I asked him if he was using Enkei NT03+M....they will not clear the brembos in 18x9.5 +27...already been tried...and the 18x10.5 +30 will clear the front strut with a 275/35/18...no spacer either

That's odd, I wouldn't think being 17mm more inbound would work with the stock suspension if there is only 13mm of clearance. Even if it did jsut barely clear it would have to be next to zero clearance and the tire brand used could cause issues since some are +-10mm from the listed widths.

don't believe everything you read on the internet

I asked myself the same question when I was new with rims and evos....how could there possibly only be 13mm? So I went outside to my car when it was bone stock...and stuck my finger back to where the strut and rim meet....surprisingly there is ALOT of room...nowhere near 13mm...more like double that

Sorry guys, i need some education. I'm actually looking at the same size (some volk ce28's). I don't get the + and - i guess.

18X9.5 ET27 +24/+2 (Enkei NT03-M: need spacer to clear front brakes)

does that mean it grew +2 millimeters on the inside and +24millimeters on the outside?

yes it means the wheel will be pushed 24mm towards the outside and 2mm towards the inside

I just bought a set of Enkei NT03+M, if these are what your talking about, and was told that a 10mm spacer is required to clear the front Caliper.

When you pay $$$ for new wheels why would you buy ones that you know don't fit? Spacers should only be used as a last resort.

Research thoroughly before pulling the trigger on an expensive wheel. I really try to avoid spacers at all cost

For the price the NT03's are, you cant quite beat their strength and weight. So buying spacers is the cheaper path to having a quality wheel. Now if he were buying a $1500+ set of wheels, then yes I'd agree as that would open the door to quality wheels that have the non-spacer needed offsets.

I think Ryan Gates even used this setup a while back.

I'm using Volk RE030's 18X9.5 with 28 offset and clears with tons of room both front caliper and the rear fender on the outside. Using 275 tires but going 285's next time around.
