Are 265s going to be too wide for a 9" wheel? I don't particularly want to compromise cornering (sidewalls rolling over due to tires being too wide), but 255s are a pretty big change in overall diameter.

Has anyone here paired a 265 tire with a 9" wheel?

 

265s will be just fine with a 9 inch wide wheel....its within spec

255/35/R18 is what you really want to run with a 9 inch wide....but 265/35/R18 would suffice

 

255 is off by 3% (2MPH @ 60MPH), which is a pretty good amount. The 265 ratio is much more reasonable (1.5%), which is why I was thinking of going with that size. Beyond more rubber touching the road, of course...
