AMS makes a brake ducting package, but I don't think it gets welded to the back of the hub like that one. I think it just mounts on using the caliper mounting bolts. Other people have also rigged (ie: ziptied) brake cooling ducts from a Porsche 911 gt3's to their control arms to redirect air passing under the car onto the brakes. This seems to a quick and cheap way to fix the problem

Why not just get the ones the mitsu makes for the car?

You mean those air guides that direct the air towards the brake? How would that compare to actually ducting a pipe of air to the caliper?

Here's the thread on the guy who used Porsche air guides on his car.

That's not welded onto the hub, its welded to a sheet that is bolted to the hub.

I'm more interested in getting a tube directly to the brake caliper. the Porsche guides also would hang too low for me.

that picture is the one from the ams kit but $500 is a little pricey for the full kit which is why i would like to find these caliper ducts seperately.

You could probably have some custom fabricated and still come out cheaper. I'm amazed that no vendor has come out with a competing kit.

Probably due to the lack of demand.

I bought the Binary ducts (~$125), they are just like the piece pictured above, then you have to find the tubing and inlets for a much cheaper option.. jid2 is his user name.

I contacted jid2 about the brackets for an Evo X. He said he wasn't sure that they would fit the Evo X, he would check and get back to me....that was months ago.
