Compomotive wheels
I've already posted a similar thread in EvoXforums, but I just had to share it with the evom community, as I am very excited about this news.
As a former VW owner, I still occasionally peruse VWvortex, which is a huge VW forum. Well after reading a post there, I wanted to share that 1552 will be importing Compomotive wheels to the US!

Light weight, strong, WRC proven (over a decade in WRC), relatively affordable in my opinion. I personally am diggin' the MO6 18.

Well, if you're going for wheels "that haven't been done" in terms of looks, Compomotive wheels are probably not for you. They're known for having nearly indestructible wheels. Hence their success in WRC, where the rigors of rally racing weed out, in my opinion, inferior wheels.

70 championships is impressive! They do look good too. Do the Speedline Turinis come in widths wider than 8"? Those wheels would look great with a little lip.
I don't intend to rally my car; I just like the fact that the Compomotives are tried and true and indestructible which would make them a great set for romping around on the streets (and the occasional track/auto-x lot) without worry. With that said, I'm partial to wheels with lips so I'll have to take the Compomotives.
Does anyone have pictures of their cars with the silver Compomotive MO wheels? All I've found are black MO's on the following EvoX (not mine).

As another vw guy (I still own a mk2 Vr) I just wanted to let you know that compomotives have been imported into the us for a long time! Usacomp is based in Lancaster county, Pa. I run cxn's on my mk2 that they built to my specs cheap! They give military and local discounts if you are close to there you should check them out

The advertised prices on their website are much higher than what I was quoted from Fifteen52, but thanks for the info!
Also, I live in southern Cali so it's quite far from local.

I've got a mk2 gti... I've owned about 25 vw's in the past 13 years or so. I know when I ordered my CXN's back in 05 from them they hooked me up (i'm originally from Pa... military so I was already in TX). Im sure the prices on their page are straight from the Compomotive Brochure... I know I paid just over 1500 shipped for my cxn's to give you an idea... BUT it did take over 4 weeks to have them built (full polished)
