if that worked, then the AMS ring would work, and as we know, the AMS ring doesn't always work...

Clip was a recall for UK tens too, my cmc still exploded

As MarkM already said, this was a recall on our UK X's aswell, it takes about 15 mins to replace under warranty, luckily i didnt have a problem with mine, but had it done anyway

There is a common misconception that the clip is the only part to be replaced.

For vehicles manufactured before Feb2010 a new CMC must also be installed... (part 2345A028)

The clip part number is 2345A031

I got an email from Mitsu the other day saying there is a recall on my car ('08 GSR.) Anyone else get this? They could still be trying to replace my hood latch.
