Suspension gurus help now!!!!!

Ok I purchased my evo X about a month ago now and so far I have put in a act 6 puck diff pins and oil scoupes in the transmission. I hav on order a ets 4" ic, agp cai, dw300lph fuel pump, synapse diverter valve, already have id1000 cc injectors, going to have ssp custom upper and lower ic pipping and aluminum 3" v-band exhaust fabbed up when everything else gets here and installed, probably forgetting some stuff also. It will all be put on and tuned on e85 either this week or next(had purchased a fp black but sold it cause I'm waiting on the new stock housing bb turbo that's coming out soon shhhh). Know I am ordering some certain cheap 18x9.75" wheels for dd'ing and the stock monster truck look is really getting to me. I have always used coilovers in the past but now I have a 6 month old baby girl and don't fell like giving her shaken baby syndrome or the added Hassel of coilovers. I have been lurking/searching all the forums and can't make my mind up. I want the performance of the swift spec r springs but really want a little lower more aggressive stance. Is their anything else out there with a lower stance that's not garbage?

with all those mods going into your car, getting either Ohlins or AST wouldnt be a problem then right? if it is, then u might have to rethink about those other parts that your planning on putting into your car.

also, what is the purpose of the car? DD? track? drag? figure out what you REALLY want to do with the car and go from there.

what do you mean showing off? Why would I be showing off I am just letting you know what my situation is. a good set of coilovers wouldnt be a problem except for the fact that i have a 6 month old baby and dont want to bet fer to death with coilovers. I have had several diffrent cars with with coilovers and i wouldnt feel comftorable putting my child in any of them so im going with springs until she is atleast 1 1/2 or 2 years old.

Good coilovers ride very nicely, better than a car that's riding low on springs. You haven't had good coilovers.

When I screw my struts up I will buy coilovers. I plan on buying a good set of coilovers in a year or two when I feel my doughter is old and strong enough to handle the ride. Everybody says that it will be ok but she is my first and I might be a little over protective? But that's me and regardless I'm getting a set of spring just trying to figure out if there is anything as good or better than swift with a lower drop. Can somebody please help me here I know coilovers are a better choice from a longletivity and road racer stand point but I only dd and drag race my cars with maybe one autoX a year.

GOOD COIL OVER'S WILL HAVE A MORE COMFORTABLE RIDE THEN SPRINGS

HOW MUCH CLEARER CAN WE MAKE OUR SELVES?

no spring will get you lower then swift spec R that isn't garbage (both ride quality and performance)

I usually try not to push people towards coilovers, but if you want to get lower than our GTWORX springs or Swift Spec R's and not have it ride AND handle like crap, you need good coilovers.

OR try the Eibach springs. Not my cup of tea but maybe you'll like them.

good coil-overs starts over $4-5K. and no spring set up comes even close to ride quality or performance to those, period.
Springs and her friends, like $1-2K coilovers are just a temporary bandage.
