Tire Advice.

Hi guys, i recently bought some 18x9.5 + 15 rpf1's w/out tires. So here's my question, what tires would you guys recommend for DD'ing. I'm looking for some brand that's decent and somewhat cheap. I am not going to track my car or anything. So yeah, what brand/size would you all recommend?

-Thanks in advance.

265/35/18 would be a good size for DD. I would look into Hankook Ventus V12s.

Those, Sumitomo HTR Z III, and Bridgestone RE760 Sports. I've use all three and all three make for a great daily-driver summer performance tire.

I not a fan of all-season tires for the most part, living in MN I always ran dedicated summer and dedicated winter/snow tires.

I do have some decent Sumitomo A/S tires on my wife's WRX though...

I know you said cheap but if you can swing it, look into the new Michelin Pilot Super Sports. No regrets with my purchase in stock size, I find them to be quieter than the stock Yoko's and slightly better at bump absorption. I have not pushed them too much so cannot comment on ultimate grip yet. They are available in your size.

Having 30k mile warranty and flat tire changing assistance as a bonus doesn't hurt.

unless you're talking about a winter setup, just sell the evo. I'm not joking... there's no point of getting a performance car and then ruining it with some sh*tty tires...

otherwise I agree with the above Hankook and Sumitomo suggestions...

I had some Continental DW tires on my 08 MR... they gripped very well. The sidewall was a bit softer than stock, but a VERY comparable tire. They even cut the road noise by about 70%.

Not sure where you reside...

My recommendation:

Keep the stock wheels for Snow tires (if you drive in the winter).
Don't get all-season tires to use for summer and winter.

18x9.5 - I would recommend Hankook V12's
Great all around summer tires for the price!
