I haven't used my stock suspension for awhile but today I went to take a look and found some rust on it. Is this still useable or should I be shopping for another set of coilovers?
That is NOTHING, you're being a bit paranoid. That will be fine. On the part that mounts, just take a drill and wire brush bit if you want to get the rust off to make you feel better. But no worries at all there bro.
