I am by no means a suspension guru, but i have had my fair share of cars on lowering springs and i feel like they all have the same problem. A shorter spring on stock length strut will put the piston of strut lower in the body of the strut and it seems to me this doesnt make the struts too happy.
I will admit i am guilty of over lowering my car for looks which i know can cause handling problems, but with that being said the best handling car i have ever driven is a friends FC RX-7 that is on Stance GR+ pro coilovers. I like that you can adjust the ride height with the strut mount and not spring preload like many of the coilovers that are on the market.
So my advice is if you are looking for an aggressive look and pretty good performance for the street something with a body length adjustable mount like the Fortune autos, stance, BC's will all work well and give you the ability to chance the ride height of your car.
I am just a little tired of people telling everyone to buy springs or $5k coilovers, i dont think its always the best solution
ok im done now let the flames being
