Beefing up the suspension.

Looking to add some bigger sway bars and end links! Also gonna add front under brace. Any suggestions on what combo worked best for you guys! On my old Sti I went 24mm whiteline sways all around and kart boy end links. Was thinking about 24mm whiteline again but something different for end links! What's your setup and what would you change about it? Btw not tracking or auto xing yet. Just want a really boss handling car until I track it! I've got kwV3 racecoils on already!

Can't say anything about sways without knowing the spring rates....

Don't compare swaybar sizes across different cars.

Whiteline only has 27mm bars for the EVO X and they work very well for most uses, but knowing the spring rates will help as Boltz mentioned. Also, what size and what type of tire do you run?

From: Tx,
why others do only rear sway? will an aftermarket endlink give any good effect to the stock swaybar?

STi and Evo comparisons in suspension are not equal. For example, Evo X's stock front bar is 25mm and rear is 23mm, therefore you setting it up like your previous STi does no good going 24mm all around. Honestly sway bars are a fine tuning tool used to reach a certain objective. By just adding parts randomly will probably make your suspension worse. Find out what you want your car to do and solve for that variable.

People will tend to add just a rear sway if they're happy with their current shock dampening and spring rate but still want to add oversteer/reduce understeer.

So for example, you don't have big plans on coilovers and like the stock suspension but feels like it understeers more than you want...then you would consider a bigger rear bar to help it rotate. Just adding the endlink will have little effect to no effect besides keeping the sway bar connected. The sway bar will help the car rotate and reduce body roll.

514lbs fr and 497lbs r! Want a little more oversteer with a grab on corner in handling. Tires now are stock but will be running 255/35/18 in spring and summer! Coils are not slammed just slightly set over the tire!

Was thinking that as well! Tires are gonna be either z1 star pecs or re-11s. I also was thinking about whiteline tierods also. Anyone find any difference in using the rsb?

use sway bars to dial in the suspension once you have gotten the coilovers to where you like them!

This is exactly the kind of thread I was looking for. OP, you and I are in the same boat, my friend. I am looking to also improve on my current set up without it being overkill. At the moment, I have the following:

Cusco front strut tower brace
Cusco rear strut tower brace
Cusco Zero 2r coilovers
Cusco front pillow ball mounts
Enkei RPF1 (18 x 9.5) wheels
255 x 35 x 18 Toyo R1R tires

Over the past week, I have given some thought of purchasing the following:

Beatrush Front Member Support Bars
Beatrush Front Performance Bar
Whiteline Sway Bar Heavy-Duty - Front - 26mm
Whiteline Sway Bar Heavy-Duty - Rear

What, if any, of these parts do you (OP) believe are overkill for my set up?
