Will Sti BBS wheels fit on the Evo X?

I'm planning on trading in my 07 STi for an Evo X gsr. The BBS wheels are 17x8, 5x114 bolt pattern. Will these fit on the Evo? Thanks

Think the 5x114 bolt pattern would be the same, but I don't think 17" wheels will clear the brakes.

ETA: Found similar discussion about 17's on the X here..

I was hoping they would so that I can mount my winter tires on the STi BBS and use them on the Evo. Unfortunately, I won't be able to try them on until I actually buy the Evo though....

They won't fit. Even if they were 18s doesn't the STi run a lot higher offset too? I didn't think the newer STis could fit crazy low offset wheels like the X?

If you mean the 18x8.5 BBS wheels from a 2008+ STi, they'll fit fine and clear the brakes, especially after you add the 20mm spacer that you'll need. They are +55 offset.

Center bore between the two? I'll bookmark this for Monday. And fill that in.

You'll need spacers and extended lugs. For the money and hassle just sell the bbs wheels and buy a used set of stock evo x wheels. It will probably be cheaper.

The centerbore on a 2008+ STi is the same tiny number they've had for a while: 56.1 or something like that. But, again, since you'll need to run 20mm spacers, this isn't really a problem. Ichiba, for example, will make you a Version 2 with our centerbore on the inside and Scooby's on the outside.

Actually, since we're talking 20mm of spacing, you'd be 10x better off with a spacer that has its own lugs, such as the Ichiba Version 2. With that said, I completely agree with the idea that, at some point, adapting something from a different car becomes not worth the hassle.

^^ OP has a 2007 STi w/17s

..so even if he gets them to fit, he'll still have the rear brakes to deal with.

Wow. Reading pwns me. My only defense: I assumed the 18s off an 2008+ since the 17s have no chance at all.

Info:

07: 225/45R17 +53 56.1
08: 245/40R18 +53 56.1

X: 245/40R18 +38 67.1

I'd just go with a wheel that is a closer fitment.

Thanks for the replies guys. Very good info. I'm still considering the Evo X but the test drive didn't leave me in awe like I expected. I guess it doesn't help that my current car is an E85, basic bolt-ons STi putting down 374 whp.... Still undecided whether to trade her in for the Evo or not...

17x7.5 +53 offset is the 06-07 gold bbs size.
