Sumitomo HTR A/S P01

I've got about 10,000 miles on my stock tires and I'm looking to get new tires in a few months. I use my car for DD and that's about it.

My question is will these tires be good for wet and dry conditions? They cost about $133.00 each which is really cheap but if they aren't good tires I wont buy them. I'll spend a little more if need be. Thanks

Btw are the stock Advans supposed to wear this fast? I've had them rotated a few times but they don't have much thread left

Yes, they wear that fast. It is a high performance tire with a wear rating of only 140. They don't usually last long. Mine are just about done with 8k miles on them.

The tire you are considering is an all season tire. This will definitely be a noticeable downgrade from the OEM Advans. Do you live somewhere that requires all seasons? If not I would not get those tires.

You might consider these.

Well I'm moving to the Northwest soon and I've heard it rains a lot. So I was thinking all season tires should be great for that. But then again I know nothing about tires.

I have the 17" Sumitomo on my IX. We have experienced a very mild winter in PA this year, but the tires performed excellent in snow and rain. I previously had Yokohama ADVAN S4's, which I found worthless in light snow. I'm sure you will get plenty of recommendations for Continental Extreme Contact DWS, which is what I would have purchased had I wanted to spend the money. Bottom line: it's a good tire with good performance for the dollar.

If you don't have to drive in snow, I would avoid all seasons. There are plenty of higher performance tires that perform great in the rain. The one I linked is just one example. IMO it is crazy to put a tire like an all season on an Evo.

I put these tires on a WRX and they're a good all-season performance choice.
