Smile In Need of Tire Help for Evo

Im in need of some advice for the coming winter. I have a new 2012 Lancer Evo with SAWC and it currently has stock wheels on it.

I live in Buffalo, NY, and with the coming winter Im looking to get tires for it. Any suggestions on good all-season tires from experience? (If worst comes to worst I'll get winter tires)

Conti Tires

Thanks for the quick response! Ive been looking at the Conti DWS tires, but I saw the handling was rated a little lower than other all season tires. I have the Yokohoma A13C's (which are great for handling and nothing else).... did you notice a big difference in road handling with the Conti's?

My advice is to stop thinking about all-seasons. I'd done the Buffalo/State-College thing and you want snows. I would get a second set of rims and put Blizzaks on them. All-seasons are a bad compromise.

I live in NE Wisconsin, used to live in Buffalo. Go with the Blizzaks and a dedicated winter set of wheels. It's worth it!

Fellow Rustbelt resident here. I rock snows on my winter car.

Goodyear, Brigdestone, Pirelli...whomever has the best price. On the Evo I liked XL winter tires. Firmed up the tire sway some.

you can survive on all season, but you will feel a lot better on snow tires. went to UB and survived a few blizzards with snow tires. never had to shovel out of a spot with snow tires.
