No, The point is that the stock strut is of enough quality that, for less than $1000 you are better off simply changing to a stiffer (and probably lower) spring) to improve the stance and handing. Save your money. It's when you get to the $1500+ range that you begin to exceed the capabilities of the stock setup.
I also just did a lot of research on this and from others experience I find that the 1500 mark is the magic number
swift springs also seem to be the best and big part of the experience.
I am going with these:
stance - super sport + SSD with Swift springs. 10/12k
rear sway bar with upgraded end links.
I am getting the ssd because it is valved for racing tires that I use in Time trials.
if you are just on the street - these with some swift springs seem to be as good of a bang for the buck as you can find.
