whiteline vs hotchkis

any real noticeable difference here on a rear sway bar for a evo x?

one is in stock and cheaper and the other is a 3 week wait and more expensive.

ran the whiteline bar this weekend. works great. I am happy I did not spend the extra money and I am glad I got the smaller diameter bar - it fits nicely and had pleny of stiffness.

i have whiteline rear sway bar on the evo X, i had hotchkis one on my bmw 330i , both great bars, but whiteline is a solid heavy bar, i think hotchkis one is hollow so it might be a couple of lbs lighter

The Whiteline and Hotchkis rear bars are both rather aggressive and, even at their lowest setting, are much stiffer than stock. If you have no plans to upgrade the front bar, I would go with either Works or Perrin (i.e., a 25mm rear bar), instead, as these have a better set of options when the front bar is stock.

Yea but does it kick the *** loose in a corner... Or does it pick up the inside tire because its to aggressive... Tripoding is cool but it shreds tires and you loose an entire tires contact with the road...

I'm glad that you're happy with your car. I, personally, would rather not drive a car set up that way at high speeds. But I'm glad that you enjoy your car.

Look into the Eibach sway bar - The softest setting is 7% firmer than stock.

I don't run a front bar and the OE rear is often too much.

no I upgraded to the whiteline endlinks based on recommendation and prior experience of board members here to avoid a known problem in advance

I have Hotchkis rear bar with their endlinks as well. Iowa999 is on the money, I run 500lb front 3-way coilovers with 600lb rears and it's on full soft - wish it had a softer setting (that's on R1's at the track). Too much rear bar in my setup with the OEM front bar, going to try the OEM rear bar next time out and see if that gives me more rear-end grip.

I would love to hear from someone who has taken a slightly different approach ... lots of front spring with OE front bar; relatively little rear spring and lots of rear bar. If nothing else, the drive home would be nicer.
