TPMS sensor keeps going off...

Okay so I have been getting a warning for low tire pressure...it only happens when I leave the car outside for a bit or when it's really cold out. Drive for about 10 minutes or so and it goes away. Is there a way to check to see if any of the 4 sensors is bad? Is there a fuse for this that I can check? If bad fuse, why does it only come on occasionally and not on constantly?

I hope this is the right section to ask this. If not, my apologies.

lol yea i think you need some air in the tires, once you drive around the psi goes up, that's why it turns off after driving it.

Air is more dense when it is cold, therefore the sensors will read low tire pressure. Put a few extra PSI in the tires and i bet that would solve your problem!

well the thing is, I checked all 4 tires (first thing I did) and they are all to spec. I thought I had a slow leak but that's not it either....don't really want to over inflate it but I will try adding a few more PSI to each tire.

Happens all the time when it is cold.. Once the tires and the air in them are warmed up, they will be up to the correct temp.. Just add a couple PSI to each.

Also, if you are really concerned about it, just check them again and adjust the tire pressure when the weather warms up again..

They were to spec while cold or after driving?? and just so were on the same page..what "spec" were you comparing them to? Mine were doing the same thing and I was low on air when I checked it

dude....45 psi is wayyyyyy toooooo much. The TPMS will go off at 25 psi or lower. You need to lower the pressure to 32 on all four ASAP. I'm not sure why your TPMS is going off but 45 psi is wayyyy to high.

If you live in a colder climate, you MAY want to fill them to like 34-35 PSI, max. This will allow for the air pressure to decrease a little and still keep your tires inflated to the correct pressure, with out risking one blowing out.

Also, did you check the spare? It too has a TPMS
