Question Effects of Upgrading Control Arms

My suspension stage plans for the 08 GSR I have is a Whiteline rear sway bar to reduce understeer, KW coilovers for adjustability to my preferences, and stiffening up the response with Whiteline control arm bushings and a roll center kit.

However, I don't quite understand the effects that changing the control arms themselves would have on the handling characteristics. I notice whiteline has the rear ones, but notes they are recommended for track only use. Could someone explain to me what changing the control arms does?

My Evo is a dual purpose, DD and casual track car, with an HP goal of 350 AWHP (still stock HP now)

More adjustability, and slightly lighter.

Are you asking me if my bushings are making noise?

I have the OEM ones still. The Whiteline upgrades are in the plans. And no, my current ones do not make any noise.

Typically aftermarket control arms (ours for example) use heim joints rather than rubber bushings. Sometimes these make noise. They also do not absorb any shocks due to the lack of a rubber bushing and can be harder on bolts and attach points. Because of the way heim joints adjust, they require frequent inspection to ensure that they do not work loose and adjust themselves. This would be why they are recommended for track use only.
