wheel fitment

hey guys. i just bought a pair of volk te37. the fronts are 18 x 9.5 and the rears are 18 x 10.5. i bought them because the deal was to good to pass up. but my question is has anyone tried running different width rims on there x and has anyone had issues. can i run 265/35 rear and 255/35 front. or do i have to run the same size tire. any input would be appreciated. i know the diameter has to be the same for awd cars but i wasn't sure about width

It's the diameter that impacts the AWD but you would have to be VERY careful to make sure the differs width tires measured to the same diameter. You can't trust the side markings. Finally and importantly, why would you, even if you could, possibly want to do this? You will only highlight the evo Xs primary handling flaw, a propensity to under steer.

But seriously, on our AWD (and any), run the same specs all around.

yeah man, I love those wheels too but AWD needs to have the same Dia. and even balancing can become an issue if you chose to use them. Staggered wheels are for RWD cars as the need more grip on the power end.
