Using Donuts for winter
Using Donuts for winter
Hi everyone,
I own a 2014 Evo X GSR and I'm from MN. I was wondering if I'm able to use rims or donuts size from a 2014 Lancer, to put on my EVO during winter time while it sits in the garage. Would the off sets matter because just in case I need to pull the car out onto the drive way? Just didn't want the car to sit on the factory tires, just got 1000 miles on the evo.

Agreed. I won a set of wheels at MOD that, I believe, were for an eclipse. My plan was to use them for a winter setup but they hit the brake calipers. My guess is that you would have the same problem with wheels from a Lancer.
Thanks guys for the info. I've looked into donuts but seems like discount tires, tire plus and National tires and batteries sells only rims for evo x no donuts. Plus they told me that the car needs to be driven in to get install. Estimated cost for the cheapest tires and rims out the door is about $600 out the door. SO as for now I just pull my car in and out of the garage so the car doesn't sit to long in one position.
