Torque Solution Adjustable Rear Control Arms

Hello all!

I just received a set of Torque Solution Adjustable Rear Control Arms I purchased recently from AWD Motorsports. I thought I would start a thread to share my experiences with them for those of you interested or thinking about purchasing the product also. This is the first time I've used a Torque Solution's product. I know they make several solid bushing kits for the Evo's drivetrain but never realized that they also produced control arms until recently.

Below is the current state of the control arms, just unpacked and inspected them.

I am happy with what I see in the control arms thus far. The aluminum portion of the control arm is machine well (no nicks, scratches, or other tooling marks). One end of the arm has a shallow groove machined into it to identify where the left hand threaded rod end goes. There are also machined "flats" at the center of the arm for the use of a large wrench to facilitate control arm adjustment when installed. The rod ends are FK Rod Ends with a 52100 Steel ball and steel body lined with PTFE.

The plan is to install them soon on the car below.

Actual time frame for installation is still up in the air as the car is currently already set up and dialed in for my next track weekend in the beginning of February. My goal is to have them installed and dialed in before the next track weekend at the end of March, after which time I should be able to provided my feedback on the control arms. Most of the feedback on this thread for the control arms will be focused on the durability of the control arms, moreover, its ability to hold the alignment setting after several hours of abuse. I won't comment or focus too much on the handling and performance effects due to the installation of the control arms as there are too many other factors that contribute to both categories (i.e. alignment, suspension setup, tire pressure, etc.)

Well, I can't wait to install and try them out. More to come soon

Nice. Have you noticed any changes in noise, vibration or harshness from these?

So does this mean you'll finally be getting those coilovers before March too? Thanks for continuing to lead the way by testing out all the mods I'll eventually be putting on my car.

Nice AR cleaning mat.
