I have a 2013 evo x MR. It's 100% stock now. The first mod I want to do is coilover suspension to get rid of the horrible wheel gap. I'm looking at the options for coilovers and want to ask you guys if it is worth it to spend the additional money to get JRZ or Ohlins coilovers over a cheaper brand like BC racing? My car is only for street driving and won't see any track use, fyi. I'm just trying to figure out the best thing to do in terms of buying a quality product but also not spending too much either. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

 

If you are only worried about the wheel gap there is no reason to throw money away with a race oriented coilover. The BC setup is great on my wife's 2008 MR. The Fortune setup is also good, as long as you pick a mid range coilover that can be rebuilt here in the states, you will be fine.

 

Why not just use lowering springs? Much cheaper, and if you won't track, then it's fine.
