I met Mark at the EvoM Shootout. He was such a nice, genuine guy.

Such a sad and tragic event shouldn't happen let alone to someone like him. My sincerest condolences to his family.

 

my heartfelt sympathies go out to mark's family, girlfriend and closest friends. i met him several times here in md and he was indeed such a level headed, kind person. he seemed able to put a perspective on things of a much older soul. god speed brother.

any news on the funeral? i can understand if they want to keep it small, but i hope that they open it to the evom community. how great would it be for the family to see hundreds of people and miles of cars of the lives mark has touched?

 

Yes, please, if anyone hears about _public_ funeral arrangements where we'd be welcome, please let us know. I agree it would be a great thing to show in a small way how much Mark pulled together literally tens of thousands of enthusiasts.

all the times you denied me mod status and all the verbal warnings...

even though i only knew him on the internet (and not that well either)....still...he started up the board......it just sucks that how one more fine human being is gone...

Mark's best friend, who was also injured, will be providing more information concerning the families wishes for funeral arrangements. He was also in the hospital and we hope to here from him soon.

Secret Chimp and Blonde are organizing a fund raiser to help defray the hospital bills for Mark's girlfriend. More information will be coming.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mark at the MOD'05 event back in April. Really a first rate guy. I just don't know what to say. We've all lost a friend. My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.

Like speedlimit said, we are still not sure about the funural but i can asure you that we will do something to honor Mark. we are working on a few things at the moment so expect a formal announcement in the next few days.
