Hey Everyone,
I’m writing this to wish you all a happy and safe holiday this year. 2005 has been a roller coaster for EvolutionM.net. With Mark’s passing and my recovery from the same accident that took Mark’s life, it has been challenging to make sure everything continues to run as it should.
I read through some of the comments many of you have posted about Mark and I wanted to take the time to thank you. Mark’s family and I really appreciate it. It was nice to see he was so loved and admired. A memorial site is being developed by his family and I. I’m not sure when the site will be up. We prefer to take our time and make sure it’s done correctly. Once we have finished the site, I will post the address up so everyone can take a look.
As for the site’s future, rest assured that it will continue its’ path that Mark set out to accomplish. I have taken his place as the new owner and will make sure his dream is fulfilled. The site has grown considerably from when it started and because of that we will have to make adjustments to support the growth. There will be many enhancements to come and will hopefully improve the overall experience on the site. Some enhancements that are key to mention:
- A complete user guide for new users to help answer some of the commonly asked questions on the site. The guide will also serve as a guide to help use the forum software as well as enhance the user’s knowledge on the Evo and Lancer.
- An advanced section for Evo owners and enthusiasts. This will help the more advanced users and provide a learning area for new users to learn advanced topics. The rules in this section will be fairly strict in order to ensure only advanced topics will be discussed. If this is successful, I may also introduce the advanced section in the Lancer areas.
- EvoM will start getting involved in more Evo events. In 2006 we are planning the Evo Tuner Shootout. I have a surprise up my sleeve for the 2006 Tuner Shootout so make sure to stay tuned for the announcement.
The goal is to take EvolutionM to the next level and in order to do so we all need to work together to take it there. Remember EvolutionM is here to serve as a community for everyone to enjoy. With your help we can make it a great place for everyone.
