Got my EVO today.
20k miles on a Evo clutch sounds about average not sure about the slave cylinder... how do you know its bad? I have 17,500 on my Evo and My clutch slipped the first time the other night... now I am babying it till I can afford a better clutch.
I saw fluid leaking by the braided line by the slave, I am assuming that is from the slave because it is brake fluid. I think that might make the clutch replacement more justifiable under warranty now, at least I hope.
From what the service department told me at Mitsu the clutch is one of those fine print items that is not covered in the warrentee.. along with brake pads and other "wear" items tires etc. The slave cylindar should be covered under warrentee as long as the car is stock. Good luck with the dealer I hope you have a better one than the one I bought my car from Beaveron Mitsu SUCKS!!!
