Just got my EVO last week

Hey, whats up everyone? My name is Matt, I just got my EVO VIII last week. I traded in my 2000 MR2 Spyder for it. Some parts of me wish i still had it because the handling on the MR2 was just unbeivable, but then i realize how much faster the EVO is in the straight line while still being decent on the corners. It took me a little while to find this site. I actually found it through someone on spyderchat.com that owns both an EVO and a spyder.

well welcome here after you get used to the Evo's handling you will find it equal to your spyder its very different but in actual tests the Evo's score on the skidpad is significantly better than the MR2 Enjoy your new ride!

yeah, i'm probably going to keep it fairly stock for a while. for one, i don't have any money now that i bought that car and i also don't want to void the warranty. I'll also be autocrossing in the stock class, so maybe and exhuast, and struts if the dealer wont void my warranty... just can't let them know i'm autocrossing

lol good luck Just about anything you do will void your warrentee you can have a muffler but no full exhaust anything you do suspension wise will void all warrentee on the suspension and as soon as it hits any performance track (IE autocross) your entire warrentee will be gone if mitsu finds out and they actually have people at tracks watching for Evo's and take down lisence plate numbers so that when you come in they run it and if its been on a track your SOL.
