HKS EIDS vs. UR Blow Through Mass Air

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if any of you have installed either the HKS EIDS or the Ultimate Racing Blow Through Mass Air adapter? I have an HKS SSQV BOV, VTA, and wanted to know what the effect of installing these items is. Obviously, the EIDS is a lot cheaper solution, but all it does is sense a large amount of blow off and then up the idle so that your car doesn't stall out. In other words, it doesn't correct the rich condition after a large purge of air.

The UR Blow Through is an upgraded MAF, relocated right before the intake manifold. As such, it seems like it would actually prevent rich conditions, and is the better choice. It's also $650.

I just wanted to know what your guys thoughts on which would be the better option (and no, buying a $30 recirculation kit is NOT the answer I'm looking for.)

Right now I'm leaning towards the EIDS, just because I don't know if I can justify spending $650 on a non-performance upgrade. I mean, I could get a pair of HKS cams for that much money.

Anyway, thanks for your input!

I think you hit it on the head..... you cant justify spending$ 650 on a non-performance upgrade. I have both the HKS SSQV and Blitz BOV with an HKS EIDS and

I do not have the idling problems nor stalling. The rpm do go down to about 500 but bounce back up to ~850. Now, if some aftermarket source sold a kit that relocates the MAF to the intake manifold (if possible??), then I would consider that
