can i do this??

sup people?! i have a 04 lancer with those side fender signal lights and i hate the colour so i found a place that has the same replacement ones with a blue lense, meaning light will be blue and dureing day u can see the blue lense. i think it would look great day and night plus i would never have to worry about colour fadeing over time as it would if i was to put a blue bulb in. my question is is it legal?? im in toronto ontario, canada, can i put these on with no worries from the police???? if its not legal i dont want them but i really hope they are.
thanks in advance for helping me on this!

it is one of the gray areas that is open to different interpretations by different cops. where i am, red and blue lights can not be facing out in a forward or rearward direction. i've heard there are places where none of the exterior lights can have a blue or red appearance. Do cops mess with you if they are?? Most of the time, no, but if they want to be dicks, they might. Check with your local province's statutes to be sure.

in oregon, no car can have a blue light, on the exterior. now they have laxed off of that with all the cars coming with hid headlights, thing is who cares. if you wanted to you could find a law against anything. thing is who cares. the worst that could happen is you could get a fix it ticket. just pay your premiums, dont drive under the influence, keep you stock parts, and dont be an *** to the 5.0. good luck.

I replaced mine about four months ago with a hyper white 194 bulb and have never had a problem with the local cops. I did my research and called the sheriffs department first and they really didnt know.
