New Member here!

Hi guy,
I just wanted to introduce myself. First of all, after I found out the EVO's are gonna be here in FEB made me **** my pants. I'm originally from Hong Kong, gew up there and went to high school there. Last year, I got my first car when I turned 18 (driving age is 18 in HK). Brand new EVO7... Then, I came to the States for College. Hong Kong cars are right hand drive so I couldn't ship it over. So, no more EVO for me, I got stuck with a damn BMW. But now the EVO is coming, I can't wait...

Not to be so nosey, but which University are you going to. I have a cousin going to John Hopkins, just wondering how far that would be from your school?

That evo was originally my uncles, a few weeks after he bought it, he decided he wanted a Skyline instead, so he gave it to me for my birthday. Assuming it costs 33k us dollars, and a one time 150% registration fee. I guess the car costs 50K+ us dollars. I only drove that car for 3 months until I had to come to college. And driving in HK is a *****.. can't go over 70kph, EVER. Cause HK is such a small island with winding twisty roads and bad traffic.

Ok... One question, if you guys owned a bimmer. Would you trade it in for an EVO? Cause I'm getting second thoughts about trading in my car.

Might be useful. Might not. Unfortunately there are lots of people with rock hard opinions.

First of all, If I had an m3.. I wouldn't even be posting on this thread. I was going to buy a 2003 M3 2 weeks ago, but my insurance company f*cked me over. They wanted 8000 bucks a year for insurance. (I currently pay 5200) a year for my NON-m3 BMW. This is a hard decision. Do I want a fast-track car, or do I want a chickmagnet...

DC represent!!! Except i'm away at school now, same story different countries. Anyways, any of the two rides are tight my friend. The thing is no one is absolutely sure how the EVo is going to be when it gets to the US. Mind you, if it's very close to what the Evo VII is, and if you trade in your bimmer for the Evo. Then you will have plenty of road and space to play around unlike in HK from what you said. And one more thing if you get an Evo, i might have to meet up with you sometime to see how it's handling. In any case i'm sure you'll get a lot of chicks in either car, it's all about your confidence my man!!

from the pic that BMW look like a 330ci, i personally like that car and probably wouldnt trade it, but its all about what you like, if you enjoy driving the evo better than the BMW, than you should probably get the evo . . . by the way, have you ever driven the STI . . . which do you like better, JDM Evo or JDM Sti?

b4 = little more luxury then the WRX with a little less performance

I couldn't really tell you about the EVO back at home, cause I haven't even driven it faster then 50 mph....
