How bad is the stock sound

How bad is the sound before the sun, sound, leather package? Also how much would it cost to get a decent aftermarket sound system?

I agree, I don't think the stock sound system is that bad. I had a 12' in my jeep with upgraded 6x9 door speakers but that all changes when you get somthing like an EVO, suddenly I stopped caring about systems

the stock radio system sucks
i guess if you never had a good aftermarket system, than you would think the inifinity is decent. i cant wait to get some money and upgrade the whole system. i am just not happy with it.

do to a dealershop and check one out. the sub in the trunk is a joke

i dont mind it. the car makes plenty of good music. i am way more interested in what is going on under the hood- rather than my cd. it is fine for what it is, stock non-upgraded sound.

IMO stock system was ok but not near as good as what I wanted for my Evo. You wont be able to get much at all for it so if I were you I would keep the stock setup (to swap back if you ever sell your car that way you can keep your system)

As far as aftermarket systems you can spend anywhere from 100 bucks for a simple CD player clear up to 100 grand for a fully custom tuned F1 system.

Posibilities truely are endless. For a modest budget and if your just lookin for something that sounds good I would recomend A good deck and 3 way 6" speakers all around. If you got a little more to spend add a good 4 way amp to the speakers.. and if thats not good enough then think about 2 way speakers and a sub woofer/amp setup for bass.

Also check out the Car audio/security forums they have a lot of useful info in there.
