Dude first off if your dad's buying you a 30k+ car your spoiled rotten and got no reason to gripe

Next off if your dad doesn't mind spending the money and would rather see you in a benz then hell with the Evo SLK500, E55, 500SL go for one of these cars much classier and nicer than an Evo anyway.

Use this.

It's four doors for people transportation. Who's gonna race in a four door?
It's a manual, so it's great on gas mileage...but don't tell him of the little gas tank.
It's Japanese ... 'nuff said about reliability.
It's only a little four banger with only two liters of displacenent, Turbo is just for pep.

Remember the above is to help Daddy buy a car for the beloved son. Stress safety, reliability, gas mileage. OMIT speed, performance, grip etc.

You could get a job and pay for the other half yourself, than it doesn't matter what daddy says.

I'll recommend C32 for you.. it's safer for you, there are many things you have to think about. If you get an evo, you wont have time for school, besides, Evo is too quick for you, and you will get into so much trouble with women, you dont want that when you are 19, you want to focus on your education...

Quick: Its not about being fast, is being able to go fast quick..

SMG and stick.. I personally would go for the SMG, one of the best in the market. I know Evo is not cheap on maintainence, but if you keep it stock, you should be ok.. But if you driver a bimmer, you wont have money for books.. sorry, i mean beer..
