A used evolution?

Hey guys, I was thinking about selling my rsx-s to get an evo. So, my question is would you guys reccommend getting a used evolution or is that too risky?

get a carfax report. call a mitsu dealer and give them the vin# to make sure that car hasnt had it's warranty voided due to Mods. last but not least, take it to a mechanic. if it passes all these tests, you're good to go.

I don't recommend getting a used unless you don't care about the warranty/reliability, or if you're using it as a race car.

Otherwise, just get a new car. If you can't afford one the fancy ones, get a new RS for less money. Just make sure they don't joyride the car before delivery.

pay a mechanic to test it out first before you buy it and carfax it.

I would have the PPI done by your local dealer (assuming the VIN check comes out OK). If a problem were to subsequently arise then they will have a hard time refusing warrantee work.

i.e. they wont be able to give you BS that it was obviously modded before you bought it.

actually hehe, I bought it used from this girl at about 13k miles. From what I hear from others an their 05s, they love it. But personally I haven't had a chance to test drive one. My opinion on the 05s is that they are a great deal because they come with a bunch of type r stuff that that 02-04 you have to buy extra. All in all, good choice! heh btw you own an evo?
