Fair enough. I can't say I agree, but then again I already have all the audio equipment I plan on getting and I'm more than satisfied with the bolt-ons' changes.

to me all them air intakes that were premade for the auto lancers are all expensive *** pieces of ****. just because u can rig up something very similar with about the same results for a fraction of the price. hell, if u had some creativity, u can probably rig up a cold air intake for the auto lancers if u knew how...

I have to agree with you on this one. I've been reading alot of people saying they notice an increase in performance by just adding an intake. On a N/A car no way are you really going to tell any difference in performance, maybe gas mileage or sound but thats about it. Now if you're talking about a F/I car yes you would notice a performance gain.

No, you notice the difference. Try driving a Lancer with and without an intake. The way the car climbs the revs does not feel the same. If you had earmuffs on and drive a Lancer with and a Lancer without an intake, you could tell which was which.

I don't think anyone's talking miracles here, but you'd notice it.

maybe on a dyno sheet you would "see" the difference but actually driving around I really don't think you are going to "feel" the difference, it is not that much of a gain.

I've driven mine stock, I've driven mine with a CAI and now I'm driving it with a SR. Just try it if you get the opportunity.

Like I said it's not a big difference, but if you drive the car enough to know how it normally drives, you will notice the difference.

aem cai does make a big diffrence i have to agree, also if you do some more mods it will make even more of a diffrence and i just love the way it sounds, you can really hear what is going on with the car, now i think all the stock exhausts and smothered air boxes sound terrible, i even think stock porsches and m3s and stuff like that sound bad and i used to like their sound

Jesus people. So much disinformation. If you'd take the time to go stop on by AEM's website, you'll say they offer two intakes: short and cold air. Try to guess which fits in either tranny setup. Eesh.
