Question Camber correction after a drop.

We all know that if you drop a car and not getting the camber back into spec you will wear out the inside of the tire.

My question is what is the threshold of camber adjustment on a stock lancer. After a drop will you able to take it to an alignment shop and will they be able to align it back to spec or will you need a camber adjustment kit?

Thanks for the help.

Everything that I've read, and have been told by people who have dropped their Civics, Integras, Saturns, VWs- you name it- leads me to believe that a drop from the Eibach or Progress kit won't be so great that a regular four wheel alignment won't fix your camber.

For reference, and to keep the moderators and a few of us off your back- do a search. This topic came up several times yesterday and you shouldn't have had a problem finding your answer.

So after a drop the camber in the rear can be aligned back in to spec. Is this correct?

The front camber is not adjustable at all? Is this possible? Can I get some details on this?

I have dropped several cars of my own and all had adjustable camber its just after a certain point the drop exceeds the threshold of camber adjustability.

Thanks for your help

Lightbulb camber adjustment

I have G.C adjustable coilovers and are constantly adjusting the car for different situations. Ive found the front alignment doesnt realy change significantly. The rear adds negative camber as U drop it but the toe doesnt change so I wouldnt worry about it. I also went ahead and gave it more neg camber at the front by slotting the upper hole at the bottom of the strut [inwards]. This meant i had to adjust the toe back to straight ahead[parallel] using a string along the tire and making a mark on the garage floor. Adjust equally at the steering tie rods
Tools needed ; string, pen, spanners:round file & 6 x beer:. I have never hesitated going out on a racetrack after setting wheel alignment by eye and have saved gazilions by doing my own work [learned stuff to]
I hope this help someone
