what he said

FYI......I live in NY and I bought my Evo at CT, of course, I have to pay NYS tax.
Why I bought the car out of state? Because that dealer in CT gave me a better deal than those in NY

I bought my car in cali and had it shipped down to hawaii. paid no sales tax . the key was that i couldn't drive it on cali roads. had to get it trucked to the dock. when i registered my car in hawaii, i had no problem. union mitsu gave me the paper that dais it was the first transaction for the car.

delaware doesn't have sales tax either.... but you would need to live there or register it there for no sales tax.

Yeh, Delaware is nuts. Small state with no sales tax. Use to drive down there to see if it was true. Told my sister, she went there just to shop when she was here(RI) for my graduation.

mrbkkt1:

I've heard about what you are saying, but please elaborate on what you had to do to save on sales tax. Thanks
