New guy with Some researched ???s
First i would like to say Hi to everyone... this is a great site lots of info
I used to be a muscle head into only cars older than me (made before 1975)
But decided to check out these new 4bangers i kept hearing about and fell inlove
So got an Evo last year and I sware i will never get rid of it.. just love it
But now it is time to play so here is what i got so far and any and all input would be great
Goal: racing track/dragging 2 maybe three times a month nothing crazy
350+ WHP yet keep it comfortable for every day driving and still be able to smoke
those yuppies with their Euro trash cars in Cherry Creek (Denver)
Location: Denver, CO
grew up in the mountains so been canyon driving for a long time and used to race but nothing official, so yes i am sure i have some more lessons to learn
Ok here it is in order
1. Turbo back exhaust - Custom 3" all mandrel bends, high flow cat, Magnaflow stainless muffler
1B. Turbo Timer - I like the greddy full auto timer but also looking at the HKS type-1 just not sure if having those extra features would be worth the 50 bucks
2. TurboXS UTEC - I think the AEM is a bit much on the technical side for me right now so from what i have searched on here and read other places i think this might be the best for me as long as i follow their upgrade style so i can keep it level with their maps... what do you think?
3. Boost controller - hallman evo kit with cockpit control
3B. BOV - Looking at the HKS and BFS Stealth
4. Clutch - Exedy Twin Plate racing clutch
5. HKS Cam shafts - 264/264
5B. HKS Cam Gears
5C. Buschur high flow air filter kit
6. Fuel system - Perrin or HKS Fuel Rail / Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump / HKS injectors or Denso (not sure about these dont know much about them)
7. Turbo upgrade... deal with that when i have all the other stuff done
Plus i will probably need to upgrade the I/C and pipes at some point just not sure when or where i will do that and with what stuff
And at some point replace radiator Hoses
so any help would rock ... hope i did enough home work for you guys
