Question 2 1/4" Catbacks?

Anyone know if there are any 2 1/4" catback systems out there made specifically for the USDM Lancer? I think the 2 1/2" inch system from BR might be too big for a non-turbo application. Am I right or not? Tell me what you all think.

The Buschur setup is fine. The the car was dyno'd with postive gains in both HP and torque. If it lost torque, then I'd be wary. It's the only full catback that's pre-fabbed and actually mounted on someone's car. The other options are VRS, the new Thermal setup, supposedly JIC is going to put out one, and then Greddy coming in January.

January '03. Expect it to cost $550.00 or more. Buschur's 2.5" intake is NOT too wide. They are the ONLY dyno tested and dyno proven bolt-on cat-back exhaust out there right now. I would suggest putting an intake on at the same time or first. You may experience power loss without increasing breathing slightly. With even the crappiest of short rams (which I'm running now) there will be no loss of torque.

I don't know if they specified. Try running a search and you may be able to find something, but I don't think they ever mentioned.

One more thing...I know that there probably won't be much of a difference between the BR and Greddy exhausts' performance. The only thing I love about Greddy exhausts are their sound. Can you tell me how the BR exhausts sound? I wish someone would post up a sound file for it. If people can tell me that the BR exhausts sound decent, then I'll probably just get those to save about $200. Also, which intake do you have? I'm planning on getting an AEM CAI and just cut the pipe to fit in their bypass valve. Do you think it's worth it?

Very loud and very deep. I don't have any suitable equipment to get the sound recorded at decent quality. If anyone in the area (say 50 miles or less) is willing to record me driving I'd be more than happy to get sounds up.

I would go for Bushur since they are well established and proven. Plus, we need to give them some more support if we ever want them to continue making lancer parts.

Go with BR they know what they are doing and have been doin it for mitsu's a long time. IMO Greddy is a lot of overpriced stuff, not saying they dont make good product, but I find going to places that specialize in what I like, DSM performance, cheaper and alot of the time better because that is what they do.
