Rebuild meaning what? MR is a lot more sophicated than GSR. really, I drove one and it's evident immediately.

 

he's confusing it with maintenance........which I don't think they do it that often on the MR.....I think the FQ400 is every 4000 miles but the MR is not that hard core.....maybe the oil needs to be chaged every 3k......but that's all I know.

it's the same maintainance schedule as any other Evo.

oil change at 3000 miles for harsh use schedule.

I still don't understand what you mean by "Rebuild" These cars are stout.. If you take care of them and maintain them, you don't have to rebuild anything..

Change the oil every 3000 miles (actually as much as 5000 miles if you don't beat on the car) and regular maintainance every so often according to the schedule.

The only think that needs rebuilding is your friends ignorance..

 

After owning a WRX I feel much more confident in this cars reliablity then I did about my WRX. Granite Subaru's service in my area was to die for and they where great. However, just do the work on the EVO yourself and I see no problem with this car in along time!
