Help on possible purchase

im am currently looking at a 2003 evolution, it is used and has 15000 miles on it and the dealer is asking 23000 for it. looked in good shape i was wondering if that is too much. i will try to talk him down of course. another thing is there a big diffrence between the 03 and the 05? and should i be worried about buying a used evo?
thanks for any info guys

Edit Sorry Miles was wrong good catch 15000 miles sorry

1500 or 000? Kinda weird that an 03 only has 1500 miles, but that sounds like a great deal. No big difference in 04/05. I would rather have 03/04 because they have no data logging. The only downfall on the 03 is it has only 4 year warranty as to the 10 year that the 04/05 get, but sounds like a great price. I would go for it. This is an VIII and not RS right? 23k would be too much for an RS

run the vin# through a mitsu dealer and see if the warranty is still in tack. if it is, drive it to make sure the clutch is good. if both check out ok, then 23000 is a very good deal.

Talk him down as low as you can get it... I got my 03 used for 23K I'm sure you can do better than that... Even if you only get a grand off, that'll be a grand towards tax, licensing, and all that good stuff... Good luck!

that sounds like a pretty good price for such low mileage... I'd definitely check the warranty and stuff and get it all in writing!!!
