Rhys Millen Racing ---> Mitsu aftermarket goodies you can buy at dealerships.

To change the muffler you either buy an axle-back exhaust, or pick out just a muffler and go to a shop and get it welded on.

Meaning catalytic converter to muffler exhaust...least I would ever do to an exhaust. Anything less, you take the chance of losing torque in the lower rpm range.

I got a custom cat back exhaust. meaning i had the piping replaced from the catalytic converter to the exhaust. The piping size was increased and I put a high flow exhaust on. with this application welding was required but with axel back applications welding usually isn't

Start at the tip of your exhaust. follow it back a few inches and you come to a muffler. Follow it back a few feet and you come to your rear axel. On that part of your exhuast are three bolts where you can take it off and replace it. Axel-back, from your axel to the back of your car. Got it. You could also do a search on this forum for "axel back". If you want I'll explain how to do that too.

a cat back, simply means that new pipes and muffler are installed starting from the back of the catalytic converter and going to the end of the exhaust system
