04 SRT-4 Traded for 05 Evo 8

The title says it all.

I pick her up tomorrow in the afternoon.

No matter how much I wanted it to be my SRT just wasn't an Evo.

I did it mainly because of 2 reasons:

#1. Interior powered by Neon. While it may look a little diffrent on the outside the inside is 110% neon.

#2. Assloads of power and nothing to do with it. Even in stock trim the power from the line is nearly useless. And the cornoring is all neon powered as well.

Yes from a roll it is stuiped fast (I've taken a few Evo's even), however the slightest bump or turn in the road and a 73 Pinto will fly past you.

I think being able to spin them in 3rd at 45-55 mph with even the slightest hint of moisture on the raod isn't all that compelling .

I didn't want to go all crazy with dogbone motor mounts and monster truck tires on the front of the car.

As it's my daily driver the interior was my main complaint with power being second. I think the Evo is in general just a better car.

However it IS a more expensive car so your paying for that.

Don't get me wrong I like the SRT4 for 20k where else can you get a motor with under 1k worth of mods will be turnin out 300+whp?(Only useable in a high speed race to the death but again hey it's only 20k right?)

All in all:
More Grip
Still easy to make stuiped power
Comfortable inside.
Doesn't look like a neon .

I'm in the process of showing my car to a few potentail buyers as well. I have an 04 Eblue SRT4 which I hope I can sell for a decent price privately, my nex ride will be either an 05 Yellow EVO 8, or a white 05 RS.

Congrats on the new purchase I have an 03 and probably will never sell it. I have had many fast cars but none that did everything so well and could be driven daily with no problems as well as everytime I drive it, it always puts a smile on my face when the boost hits.So my next plan is to get a IX to put right beside it my VIII.

Congrats on the purchase.

You made the right choice.

I've owned and driven many many cool/high powered cars.

The Evo by far has been the most fun to drive.

AWD turbo goodness!

Great choice, the EVO is just a step above the SRT-4 in the total performance package, it's a step above many cars.

lol most do, it's the 10k difference in price that makes them not buy the Evo to start with . At least that's what it was for me.

Thanx for all the replies guys
