The absolute cheapest Clutch disc, Pressure Plate & TOB (~$500) + Flywheel (~$250) + Install (several hundred $) is going to be over $1000 BARE MINIMUM unless you do it yourself...

Are you an evo owner or looking to race one? With "basic" mods, since your name implies "Cobra"

Alright Thanks.

Now for the next question.

How exactly do you guys launch your cars at the track. Evo's and STI's cut incredible 60 ft's bone stock on street tire and i think its quite impressive. Do you guys just dump the clutch at like 6k? Whats Redline on Evo's?

You gotta slip the clutch a little. If you sidestep it you will bog. If you slip it too much you will burn your clutch up. It takes practice to drive these cars, it's not easy. Redline on a stock evo is ~7600. Can safely be raised to 8000 on a stock evo or one with BPU.

ehhhh i would never slip the clutch at high rpm's lol... i bring it to about 5k and let it go... So far so good, 30k miles and stock clutch with 15 or so launches.. i can't bare the thought of slipping the clutch that hard....

This vid is not my best time, but it's my best 60' so far - 1.7 and it was on all-season tires:

This vid shows my new redline:

This is completely stock

Thank you all for the information. And Sterling Evo, Nice Vids.

In my car, i also have to slip the clutch. If i dump it at friggin 2K, ill do nothing but a very kewl burnout haha. If i slip it to fast, ill spin. If i dont slip it enough, ill bog. Its very difficult to launch 03/04 Cobras imo. But ive defintly gotten the hang of it and can't wait to pull 1.XX 60 ft's.

What are normal 1/4 times for Evo's compltely stock. I mean down to the paper filter. Whats the best an evo has pulled at the track?

How much boost can you push on the stock turbo?

best time on a stock evo is i believe is 13.1. you can push as much as 28 psi with a 50/50 mix of race gas /93 gas i believe with supporting mods before air runs out.
